Oops, I just realized I didn't put in the final day's program for Holland America's Zuiderdam Alaskan cruise for Friday June 19, 2009.
Today was at sea, southbound back to Vancouver, going through Bellan Bella and Fitz Hugh Sound, and then at night fall Alert Bay and Johnstone Strait.
In the morning was the standard disembarkation talk and crew farewell in the Vista Lounge. The cruise director went over everything the passengers needed to know about disembarkation, clearing customs, etc. Afterward many of the Zuiderdam crew appeared on stage to sing and say farewell to the passengers.
There was another salmon bake on the Lido swimming pool deck area at lunchtime.
In the afternoon in the Vista Lounge, magician James Cielen gave a magic show. He pulled money out of my ear and wouldn't give it back!
The movie playing in the Screening Room throughout the day was Confessions of a Shopoholic. I confess. I went to see the movie and I enjoyed it. Chick flick. Couldn't convince my husband to watch the movie with me.
We managed to catch a couple of the shows that evening. We saw Unforgettable in the Queen's Lounge with the Zuiderdam singers and later on the Farewell Variety Show in the Vista Lounge.
All in all a perfect ending to a fantastic cruise.
